The state Chairman, Network of Civil Society Organisations, Amb. Ahmed Shehu, made the call on Sunday in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen in Maiduguri. Maiduguri — Fleeing residents of Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno state have revealed that armed Boko Haram sect have on Sunday night launched an attack on the town with fear of severe casualties. ABUJA, NIGERIA – Protesters in Lagos, Nigeria, have accused the military of opening fire on them Tuesday as they defied a curfew to demand an end to police brutality. Nigeria’s military has denied that the uniformed men, seen in social media videos firing on the unarmed protesters, were their troops. Twenty-five year old Dominic Alonge left work early after Lagos authorities announced an impromptu curfew that began at 4 p.m. local time on Tuesday. At Least 1,588 People Were Killed in Nigeria as…

At least 1,588 have been reportedly killed in Nigeria between July to September 2020, according to findings by SBM Intelligence. The findings also revealed that 137 security personnel have been hacked to death within the period under view. According to the findings, the breakdown of people killed by geo-political zones includes; 638 in North-West, 544 in North-East, 194 in North Central, 93 in South-South, 70 in South-East and 49 in South-West.readmore
